Community

Culross Community Council.

Culross Community Council is made up of elected members who represent the interests of the village and its residents. Everyone is warmly welcome to attend the council’s meetings, where local issues and opportunities are discussed openly. Acting as the voice of the community, the council speaks on a wide range of topics, from planning and development to local services and heritage. In addition to this, the council plays an active role in village life by organising key events throughout the year, including the Hogmanay celebrations and the Remembrance Day service at the Abbey.

Filming in Culross

Filming in Culross is welcomed, but it is important that all productions contribute positively to the community. To achieve this, film companies are expected to work closely with the community council and local residents, ensuring clear communication and respectful use of shared spaces. Productions should also recognise and compensate for any inconvenience or disruption caused, helping to balance the benefits of filming with the day-to-day life of those who live in the village. This approach ensures that filming supports Culross while protecting the wellbeing of the community. To request our Filming Policy and Community Benefit Guidelines, please email culrosscc@yahoo.com.

Contact

If you would like to contact the Community Council, please do so by email culrosscc@yahoo.com. Please remember that the council is run by volunteers, we will try and answer emails as quickly as possible.
